A village school at the heart of its local community

Presentation by the head teacher followed by a tour of our school.

Congratulations to all the award winners and to everyone in the school who help us all become the best we can be.

From Sept 2017 we have launched our irresistible Clutton Curriculum.  New, and exciting topics will be explored across Key stage 1 and 2.

The PTFA have provided much needed funds for the class chapter reading books, however more topic books are needed for our non-fiction library.

Look out for news of:

  • Amazon Wish List of topic books for anyone wishing to donate books to the school
  • Requests for topic books from the wider school community

Congratulations to Clutton’s Head Boy and Head Girl, James and Emily.

They represent and model our school values and help meet and greet visitors.

If you visit Clutton School it may be that Emily and James will show you around and tell you all about our fantastic learning community and all the exciting things we do.

Clutton Primary School converted to academy status on 1st March 2015, joining the Midsomer Norton Schools’ Partnership.

The children, staff and governors  are already experiencing and enjoying the many benefits that being part of the MSNSP can bring.

At Clutton Primary School we have high expectations of all our children and staff and encourage everyone to, ‘be the best they can be.’

Ofsted say, “Teachers and teaching assistants have high expectations and good subject knowledge.”

We provide high quality teaching and learning experiences for all our children

Our Ofsted report January 2014 confirms,
“This is a good school…All pupils make good progress.”
“Teaching is routinely good in lessons and some is outstanding.”

We recognise individual talents and
develop confidence so every child
is motivated and inspired

In the words of Ofsted, “The range of subjects and
wider educational experiences … mean that all
pupils are able to develop as rounded learners.”
